Due to a large response for scheduled tours, there will be an additional Esopus Meadows Lighthouse tour today.  The Estuary Steward will be departing from the Hudson River Maritime Museum on the Rondout Landing for the tour.  The tour will be run as follows:

  • Check-in starts at 12:30 PM
  • Estuary Steward departs promptly at 1:00 PM
  • A 30 minute boat ride to the lighthouse
  • 1 hour at the lighthouse including a talk on the history and restoration efforts of the lighthouse
  • A 30 minute boat ride back to the maritime museum

Cost is $20 per person; $15 with advance payment, $15 for children, and $15 for members.  Children under 12 are not permitted at this time.  Reservations are recommended and can be made at 845-848-3669.

At this time, while we will open for tours, there is still a fair amount of construction material present.  People should wear soft shoes; no high heels or open toes will be allowed.  Children under 12 will not be permitted at this time.
